3 Facebook Small Cap Sympathy Plays For Friday

Facebook’s IPO at $16 billion gives Mark Zuckerberg access to more than $15 billion which suggests they may step up the pace and size of acquisitions. Here’s 3 sympathy plays I’ll be watching today that could certainly catch a bid in speculation of a buyout. As a trader I’m looking for a price between $1 and $7, market cap between $50 million and $2 billion, Beta above 1, preferably 2 and a good technical setup.

Quepasa Corp. (AMEX:QPSA) is a social media technology company, owns and operates social network discovery platforms. Its Latin-American platform, Quepasa and North-American platform, myYearbook enable users to meet new people through social games and apps, monetized through advertising and virtual currency.

Friendfinder Networks Inc. (NASDAQ:FFN) is an Internet and technology company, provides services in the social networking and Web-based video sharing markets. It is involved in creating and operating technology platforms, which run various heavily visited Websites in the world comprising AdultFriendFinder.com, Amigos.com, AsiaFriendFinder.com, Cams.com, FriendFinder.com, BigChurch.com, and SeniorFriendFinder.com.

Renren Inc. (NYSE:RENN) operates a social networking Internet platform in China. The companys platform enables its users to connect and communicate with each other, share information and user-generated content, play online games, listen to music, and shop for deals.

Your video still doesnt give me an idea or an example scenario on how its going to work. I just got burned bad on snpk because I wasnt sitting at my computer glued to the screen…In a matter of a few hours I lost 14 grand…

Should have had the forethought to short all of these at the start of the day. Can’t hold such gains on rumor of another stock. Hindsight is 20/20.

I need a little help on RENN the bottom fell out on me when Facebook opened up.. 6.24 down to 4.93 can u say ooh no, bought 500 shares do i bite the loss or cross fingers , I really thought this one would hit hire like 7.02

  Hello Kenn, most social media stocks were hit hard Friday but I believe RENN, QPSA and ZNGA will all bounce out of this washout… my guess is a lot of short sellers targeted social media plays once Facebook face planted.
